Haryana Police to Arrest Baba Aman Singh, Primary Instigator for Nihang Violence

The Haryana Police are intending to obtain an arrest warrant for Baba Aman Singh, who is suspected of inciting the Nihangs to kill Lakhbir Singh, a 35-year-old man, near the Singhu border in October. Four Nihangs Narain Singh (50), Bhagwant Singh (35), Govind Preet Singh (24) and Sarabjit Singh (37) have already been arrested for lynching at the farmers’ protest location. The culprit had admitted to killing Lakhbir as ‘punishment’ for desecrating the Sikh Holy Book, according to the police. Police are now hunting for Baba Aman Singh, the leader of a Nihang organisation known as “Misl Shaheed Pyaare Himmat Singh,” to be arrested.

DSP Virender Singh, the case’s Investigating Officer, said. Lakhbir was assaulted there. Baba Aman Singh allegedly urged them to cut off his hand, according to the detained suspects. Lakhbir died later as a result of his injuries. Apart from the four Nihangs apprehended, Baba Aman Singh is also among the primary suspects.”

“We are currently arresting him and will find out if anyone else is involved in the investigation. We want to go to court to get a warrant for his arrest. An investigator previously said that a sharp-edged weapon was responsible for six of Lakhbir Singh’s 37 injuries. The deceased’s blood was taken from the scene by the police. The confiscated swords and bloodstained garments of the suspects were transported to the FSL in Madhuban. One of the swords was purportedly retrieved from Narain Singh, while the other was supposedly recovered from Sarabjit Singh.
