New Delhi: In the Rajya Sabha on behalf of the central government, it was said that in the last 6 months no infiltration from China has happened in the Indian border. Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai said these things in a written reply. This answer from the Ministry of Home Affairs has come on a question of Rajya Sabha MP from BJP Anil Agarwar.
The response from the central government has come at a time when Indian and Chinese forces have been face to face on LAC in eastern Ladakh for the last few months. There have also been reports of skirmishes and firing.
On the infiltration along the Indo-Pakistan border, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that Pakistan has tried zero infiltration in February, four in March, 24 in April, eight in May, zero in June and 11 in July.
Earlier on Tuesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed the Lok Sabha about the ongoing deadlock from China in Ladakh. Rajnath Singh did not use the word infiltration in his speech, but he definitely said that Chinese soldiers disregarded the 1993-96 agreement.
