FSL report dismisses rape claim in Hathras incident; no signs suggestive of intercourse

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath government is on target of opponents after the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old teenager in Hathras. Meanwhile, the forensic report claimed that no evidence of rape was found from the woman. The final report of FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) in Agra said that sperm was not found in the sample. However, the expert has questioned the report as it is based on the samples collected 11 days after the attack.

According to the NDTV report, the Uttar Pradesh police claimed last Thursday that the forensic report of the 19-year-old girl was told that she was not raped or gang-raped. The post mortem report stated that the victim died due to his neck injury.

Prashant Kumar, a senior UP police officer, had said that sperm has not been found in the FSL report, making it clear that some people have pursued the case to incite caste-based tension. Identification and legal action will be taken of such people.

The victim’s sample was sent to a forensic lab in Agra 11 days after the incident. Experts say that sperm does not exist for so long. According to the UP police, the victim’s sample was taken at a hospital in Aligarh on 22 September. He got his statement recorded the same day. Experts believe that the investigative statement is equally important. According to the forensic report, the samples were sent three days later on September 25 to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Agra.
