New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the announcements made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today will especially benefit our farmers and migrant workers. The announcements include a series of progressive measures that will provide food security and credit to farmers as well as street vendors.
Today Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that food grains will be made available to the migrants present in different states for 2 months. She said that all the people stranded in other states who are not NFSA or state card holders will be provided with five kilograms of grain per person and one kilogram of gram per family for two months.
Sitharaman said that the minimum wage of laborers across the country has been increased from 182 to 202 rupees. He said that 2.33 crore migrant laborers have to be given work in panchayats. Along with this, he has said that food is being given to people trapped in other states and homeless people for 3 times. Money has also been arranged for them.
