In the presence of Chairman Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, popular Punjabi musician and rapper Sidhu Moosewala joined the Congress on Friday. After getting accepted into the party, Moosewala stated that he began his music career four years ago and was now ready to take a new step in his life.

Channi described Moosewala’s admission into the Congress as a “great day” in the state’s political arena, saying he “knows the views of the young and offers them guidance.” “We are adopting Sidhu Moosewala into party fold,” Sidhu stated earlier, welcome Moosewala into the fold. He’ll battle for us in the election.”
Harish Chaudhary, AICC Secretary, greeted him, adding he has “raised a voice not just in Punjab but throughout the world.” He added that when the farmers were agitating, Moosewala’s was one of the most powerful voices. Raja Warring had a key role in persuading Moosewala to join the Congress Party.

Channi and Sidhu had a meeting with him this morning at Warring’s house. Last year, the Punjab police charged Moosewala with violating the Arms Act by inciting violence and gun culture in one of his songs. He had already been arrested in another instance when photos of him using an AK47 gun at a firing range during the Covid-19 epidemic went popular on social media.
