New Delhi: Farmers’ tractor rally has got approval from Haryana and Delhi Police on Republic Day. After which the path of the parade has been cleared in the capital Delhi on 26 January. The announcement was made by the farmer leaders after a meeting between the farmers’ organizations and the police on Saturday.
After the meeting, Yogendra Yadav, the head of Swaraj India, who was involved in the movement, said that on 26 January, the farmer will parade the Republic Day for the first time in this country. All these things have been confessed after five rounds of talks. All barricades will open, we will go inside Delhi and march. A broad consensus has been reached about the route.
He said, ‘On January 26, we will go inside our capital to express our heartfelt feelings. There will be a historic farmer parade like this country has never seen. It will happen peacefully and there will be no splash on the Republic Day parade of this country or the security of this country. This meeting was held at Mantram Farm House. Farmer leader Dr. Darshan Pal Singh, Yogendra Yadav and others attended the meeting. Here, Delhi Police, UP Police and Haryana Police officers were present in the meeting.
The proposed rally of farmers is being organized to protest the laws, in which tableaux will be taken out to show the status of farmers. Yogendra Yadav has said that the public has been invited to see these tableaux. Actually, farmers are stuck on the borders of Delhi. Most of them are from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. Farmers’ organizations allege that the new agricultural laws will eliminate mandi and MSP procurement systems and farmers will be dependent on the mercy of big corporate houses.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Jogendra Talu claimed on Saturday that on January 24, five thousand tractors from Bhiwani district will leave in Delhi to join the proposed farmers’ tractor parade. The farmer leader alleged that for nearly two months, Annadata has been sitting on a border for his entitlements in cold weather but the government is not ready to give up his dictatorial attitude. After ruining the government and public sector, the BJP government has now come up with three agricultural laws to destroy agriculture and food security.
