New Delhi: 22 of the world’s 30 most polluted cities are in India. Not only this, Delhi tops the list of the most polluted capital cities in the world. This has been said in the ‘World Air Quality Report, 2020’ prepared by the Swiss organization ‘IQ Air’ and released on Tuesday. The report, however, also states that Delhi’s air quality has improved in 2020 compared to 2019. But despite the improvement, Delhi is at number 10 among the most polluted cities in the world, but talking about the capital cities, Delhi is the most polluted city in the world.
The report says, “India is showing prominently in the list of the most polluted cities in the world and 22 out of the 30 most polluted cities in the world are there.” Apart from Delhi, there are 21 other cities – Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. , Bulandshahr, Bisarkh Jalalpur, Noida, Greater Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Agra and Muzaffarnagar, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Faridabad, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad in Haryana, Bandhwadi, Gurugram, Yamunanagar, Rohtak and Dharuhera and Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
