New Delhi: Actor Deep Sidhu, who was accused of violence at the Red Fort during a tractor rally taken out on Republic Day, has been sent to seven days police custody by the court. Deep Sidhu was presented by the Crime Branch in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Pragya Gupta. There was a ruckus between Sidhu supporters and lawyers during the trial.

The police demanded a remand of 10 days and said that we need the remand of Deep Sidhu as he has to interrogate him. There is videography evidence against him. He provoked people, due to which people damaged public property. The police also said that Deep’s social media also has to be investigated. He has to be taken to Punjab Haryana.

Police said that during the march of farmers tractors violated the rules. The flag of religious organization and farmers organization was hoisted at Red Fort. It was at the forefront of violence. According to police, 140 policemen were attacked at the Red Fort. His head was hit with a sword, Sidhu was in the forefront of provoking people. It was clearly visible in the video that he was entering the Red Fort with flags and sticks. He was with Jugraj Singh.

There was some ruckus outside the court during Deep Sidhu’s appearance. There was a heated debate between a man and lawyers who came in support of Siddu. Later, the police intervened to calm the atmosphere. During the hearing, Sidhu’s lawyer opposed the police demand for remand, saying that there is no need for remand, the police already have everything. Police already have CCTV video footage. In this case, he does not have to recover anything else.
