New Delhi: Daisy Shah was first seen as a backup dancer in the song ‘Lagan Lagi’ from the film ‘Tere Naam’ (2003) with Salman Khan. He then worked with Salman in the films ‘Jai Ho’ (2014) and ‘Race-3’ (2018).
Daisy says that their relationship has strengthened over time and she considers Salman as her biggest support system. Daisy says, I can discuss almost everything with Salman. Not only work but also his family life and personal issues. I have spoken openly to Salman about everything. He always supports me. Whenever I am under some stress or I get stuck somewhere, I can go to Salman. I just have to call them and tell them that I need advice on this subject.
Apart from films, Daisy has also been part of a concert tour done by Salman. On acting in a film with her again, Daisy says, Salman is my first co-star in Bollywood and I am very comfortable working with Salman. Even on a personal level, we both have a very good relationship. It doesn’t matter that we don’t share screen space because I know that I share better space and equations with them in real life. This is a big deal for me.
During her six years in Bollywood, Daisy has acted in only three films. On whether she is happy with the pace of her career, Daisy says, if I look at it that way, sometimes it feels quite stressful. But everyone has their own journey. My pace has slowed down. I know and understand that it is not so good.
But Daisy has worked in regional films during this period. They do not complain about how things are changing. He said, nobody knew me in 2014 and today people know me very extensively. It is a privilege for me. I am associated with a good brand and have also been a part of the concert tour with Salman Khan. I would prefer to do this type of work than any moving film.
