Cyber attack on Domino’s India: Mail IDs, mobile number, credit card details leaked

New Delhi: Popular pizza outlet Domino’s India has been cyber attacked. According to Alon Gaal, co-founder of the Israeli Cybercrime Intelligence Department, the hackers have access to Domino India’s 13TB internal data that includes details of over 250 employees such as IT, legal, finance, marketing, operations, and more. Hackers have claimed that they have data of all customers. Apart from this, there are 18 crore order details which include customers’ names, phone numbers, mail IDs, addresses, and payment details. Apart from this, hackers also have more than 1 million credit card details used for shopping on the Domino’s India app.

The hackers claim to have received all the customer details and 18 crore order details, including customer name, phone number, email ID, delivery address, payment details, including 10 lakhs used for purchase on the Domino’s India app Contains more than credit card details. Hackers are aiming to sell complete data to a single buyer. According to Alon Gall, the hackers are demanding around Rs 4 crore for the entire database. Hackers are planning to create a portal to query these data.

This is very worrying because India has recently been the victim of several large-scale cyber attacks. According to data from the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), cyber attacks during the Corona epidemic in India increased by almost 300%, rising to 11,58,208 in 2020 as against 3,94,499 in 2019.
