Wuhan: China’s new Wuhan city administration plans to conduct a test of the entire population when new cases of COVID-19 are reported after several weeks amid a worldwide coronavirus epidemic. Official media quoting the official note said on Tuesday that the authorities have been asked to submit the schemes by Tuesday afternoon, so that nucleic acid test can be done on all citizens of the city with a population of 10 million.
Although it is not clear in the official note when the testing will begin, it has been said, “Every district will have to plan, arrange nucleic acid tests of the entire population of its area within a 10-day deadline …”
New cases of COVID-19 infection have recently been reported in the Wuhan city, which opened only after a 76-day lockdown on 8 April, and after this a plan to test the entire population is planned. In fact, on Sunday and Monday, six new cases were reported from a residential complex located in Dongjihu district.
China had almost controlled the virus and the epidemic, but after opening the lockdown and ending the restrictions all over the country, new cases of infection have come up. By the way, virus clusters have also been reported in the northeastern Jilin and Heilongjiang districts adjoining Russia in recent weeks.
