New Delhi: Coronavirus aerosols can swim up to 10 meters in the air. The government has issued a new ‘Easy to Follow’ advisory in the fight against Kovid-19, in which it has been said. It states that coronavirus infection occurs mainly through saliva and nose, in which the virus reaches the infected patient through droplets and aerosols to others. Droplets fall from an infected patient’s saliva or nose up to two meters away, but small aerosol particles can spread up to 10 meters into the air.

The advisory issued by the office of Vijay Raghavan, the principal scientific advisor to the central government, states that wearing face masks, social distancing, cleanliness and necessary ventilation are still effective methods to fight coronavirus. The advisory states, “As epidemic cases have increased in India, we need to remember again that simple methods to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection can help reduce them.”
