Congress’s crisis deepens in Puducherry, another MLA leaves party before floor test

Puducherry: The crisis over the Narayanasamy government of Congress in Puducherry has deepened, tomorrow the floor test is to be held and today another MLA left the party with the resignation. Congress MLA from Puducherry K Laxminarayanan submitted his resignation to Speaker VP Shivakozhundu of the Assembly. After this resignation, it will be very challenging for the Congress to prove majority in the Assembly on 22 February.

The Congress-led Narayanasamy-led government of Congress will face a vote of confidence before the Assembly elections in Puducherry in April-May. The Congress government of V. Narayan Sami in Puducherry has to prove majority on 22 February. After the removal of Kiran Bedi from LG post, the new Deputy Governor T Sundararajan has given instructions in this regard. After the resignation of five Congress MLAs, CM Narayanasamy’s government has come in a minority.
