Punjab Elections 2022: Congress Released Names For 86 Seats In Upcoming Elections

The Congress presented its first list of 86 candidates for the Punjab assembly elections on February 14, including 58 current legislators.

Cabinet ministers Manpreet Singh Badal, Vijay Inder Singla, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Pargat Singh, and Amrinder Singh, as well as Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, deputy chief ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni, and deputy chief ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni, Raja Warring and Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa are the names that are indulged in the first list as the key party leaders. 

Mohit Mohindra, the son of cabinet member Brahm Mohindra, has been elected to the current legislature from Patiala Rural, where the senior leader represents.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Congress’s Punjab president, will fight from Amritsar East, while state Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will run in Chamkaur Sahib. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, the Deputy Chief Minister, will run for the Dera Baba Nanak seat, while Raja Amrinder Warring, the state transport minister, has been elected for the Gidderbaha seat.

Malvika Sood, the sister of actor Sonu Sood who recently joined the party, has been elected to the Moga constituency. Sidhu Musewala, a punjabi singer, has been summoned from Mansa.

Harjot Kamal Singh of Moga, Balwinder Singh Laddi of Hargobindpur, deputy speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti of Malout, and Nathu Ram of Balluana are the names that have all been rejected tickets by the Congress party.
