Shimla: The incident of cloudburst in Himachal’s Dharamsala has created panic, amidst heavy monsoon rains, a sudden flood caused a cloudburst in the tourist area Bhagsu on Monday morning. Seeing it, a small drain took the form of a booming river. Bhagsu’s drain overflowed due to the flood. Due to the boom in this drain, many luxury vehicles were washed away in the strong current. Many hotels are also situated along this drain on both sides. These hotels have also been damaged due to cloudburst. This incident has reminded of the flood incident after the breach of glacier in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on 7 February 2021, due to which people are in panic.
At the same time, the local people are scared due to cloudburst and after that the rivers and streams are in spate. There is an atmosphere of chaos in Bhagsu at this time. The video of a draining drain is also going viral on social media. It can be clearly seen in the video that the strong current of water is taking the car away. It is raining in many districts of Himachal Pradesh since Sunday night. The people here were also suffering from the heat for the last several days.
The incident of cloudburst in Himachal has reminded people of the devastation caused by the glacier burst in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The Rishiganga valley of Chamoli district was flooded after the glacier burst. Due to this, the Tapovan Hydroelectric Project of NTPC was completely destroyed.
