Chinese soldier to be released by India in a goodwill gesture

A Chinese soldier had crossed inside Indian territory across the disputed zone of the Line of Actual Control recently.

India had captured the soldier two days ago in the Demchok sector in the disputed border in Eastern Ladakh.

As a goodwill gesture, India has assured to release the Chinese soldier as he had entered the disputed border to retrieve a yak that had strayed into the country as per the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) official.

Earlier, India had released a statement that the Chinese soldier who was identified as Corporal Wang Ya Long has been given the required medical help , including oxygen, food and warm clothes to support him in sustaining the difficult climatic situations.

In the last forty years, India and China have gathered thousands of soldiers, tanks and missiles in the challenging border issues.

However, the border crisis has not yet been able to be solved despite conducting various talks between senior military commanders and diplomats and ministers.
