New Delhi: China has now raised the issue of the ban of 59 Chinese apps after the tussle on the Indo-China border over a bloody conflict between soldiers in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh. During the recent bilateral talks with India, China raised this issue. Let me tell you that the Indian government had announced a ban on 59 Chinese apps in Ladakh amid the ongoing border dispute with China. The government was said to ban these apps from a protective angle. After this move by India, the spokesman of China’s Foreign Ministry had said that we are very concerned about it.
According to a media report, there was a diplomatic level meeting recently between the two countries. In this meeting, China has raised the issue of ban on its mobile apps in India. According to sources, during this time India has bluntly told China that the ban on apps has been done due to national security reasons. India does not want any kind of tampering with the data of our citizens. Significantly, 59 Chinese mobile apps banned by India have been accused of security and misuse of data of Indian users. These apps include TikTok, WeChat, Halo etc.
