Cabinet decisions: new health minister announced emergency health package of Rs 23,123 crore

New Delhi: After the expansion of the Union Cabinet, the first meeting of the Union Cabinet was held this evening. After the cabinet meeting, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has announced an emergency package of Rs 23,123 crore to deal with the corona virus. It will be used jointly by the Center and the states. He said that under the Covid Relief Fund, pediatric care centers will also be set up in 736 districts.

He said that 4 lakh 70 thousand oxygen beds are ready in the country. He said that there are more than 4,000 Covid Health Care Centers across the country. Also 20,000 more ICU beds will be made in the country. Mandaviya said, “We have to fight collectively against Covid. This fund will be used over 9 months. It is our duty to help the states in every possible way.”

Apart from this, in the briefing, Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar said that we have told the organizations associated with the farmers’ movement many times that apart from the demand to abolish the law, we will welcome whatever they want to talk about. He said that the agriculture law will not end. Tomar said that the central government is strengthening the mandis.

He said that the government’s decisions will increase the income of the farmers. The Agriculture Minister said that he said that 1 lakh crore rupees have been given to Agriculture Infrastructure Fund under Atmanirbhar Bharat, APMC will be able to use that fund. He said, “I want to tell the friends associated with the farmers’ movement that we fulfill the announcement which is made in the budget. The talk of strengthening the mandis has been said in the budget.

He said, “Coconut is cultivated in a large area in our country. In order to increase its production and to facilitate the farmers, the Coconut Board Act was brought in 1981, we are going to amend it. The chairman of the board will be a non-official person.”
