New Delhi: The second wave of Corona virus continues to wreak havoc in the country. Meanwhile, Mucormycosis i.e. Black Fungus disease is emerging as a new concern in the country. Black fungus has been declared an epidemic in Rajasthan. Currently, there are about 100 black fungus patients in the state.

More than a hundred cases of this have been reported in Delhi. 75-80 black fungus cases have been reported in AIIMS. There have been 50 cases of this disease in Max and 10 cases in Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.

At the same time, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced the launch of nasal endoscopy campaign in view of the increase in the number of cases of black fungus in the cases of Covid-19 patients in the state.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday also asked the Center and the Delhi government to give information on the shortage of medicines used to treat black fungus, which is being recovered by people recovering from Covid-19. The High Court said that the government will have to explain what is the problem and how the medicine can suddenly go into less supply when it is manufactured locally.
