Biplab Deb Predicts Historic Win for BJP in 2023 Assembly Elections in Tripura

Biplab Kumar Deb, the Chief Minister of Tripura, predicted that his party, the BJP, would win 70 percent of the vote in the 2023 assembly elections, and that his administration had already agreed to draught a strategy for development projects up to 2048.

A recently completed poll had historic results. Deb declared during the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected corporators of the Agartala Municipal Corporation at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala, “We received 60% votes (59%) in the civic polls and our vote share would be 70% in the future assembly elections.”

According to the CM, the BJP received 43% of the vote in the 2018 assembly elections, 49% in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, and nearly 60% in the civic elections in November, indicating a consistent expansion in the party’s support base. “

Despite high attendance and turnout, they said nothing significant happened. They have disrespected the voters by stating this. People have begun to realise this, and in the upcoming assembly elections, they will cut their vote share to below 8%,” Deb said.

The BJP received 59.01 percent of the vote in the municipal elections. The CPM received 18.13 percent of the vote, while the Trinamool Congress (TMC) received 16.39 percent. Later, Deb asked the newly elected councillors to work for the people by focusing on three S’s: samachar (news), swabhab (nature), and Sadachar (good behaviour), as well as three N’s: niyat (intention), neeti (policy), and niyam (rules).
