New Delhi: Amidst the Corona crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 8th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Through video conferencing, PM Modi has transferred Rs 19000 crore to the accounts of 9.5 crore farmers of the country under the PM Kisan Yojana. Millions of farmers of Bengal have started getting benefits of Kisan Nidhi Scheme for the first time from today. Under this scheme, every 4 months an installment of 2000 rupees, ie 6000 rupees per annum, is given as financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. This amount is deposited directly into the account of the beneficiary farmers through DBT.
The Prime Minister has released the 8th installment through video conferencing. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Chief Ministers of some states and many MPs were also present in this program. The Prime Minister also interacted with some farmer beneficiaries. After this, PM Modi, while addressing the country, also gave the best wishes of Eid and Akshaya Tritiya.

PM Modi said that even in the Corona era, the farmers of the country have played a great role in our agriculture sector and have produced a record food grains. As the names of farmers from states will be received by the central government, the number of beneficiary farmers will increase further. The PM said that in the Corona era, India is running the biggest free ration scheme in the world.
