Lucknow: Seeing the ever-increasing incidents of crime against women in Uttar Pradesh, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that such crimes are being committed against women in the state that the soul trembles, but the state government is sleeping.
She said that in Mathura, the goons, who were harassing the girl for a year, entered the house and threw her from the terrace, while in Hamirpur, the girl was forced to commit suicide due to molestation. Seeing such incidents, it seems that the safety of women in the jungle raj of the state is also dependent on God.
Uttar Pradesh government is busy in power struggle. Whereas the incidents of crime against women are increasing continuously in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government is so complacent that even the data given by the central institution NCRB on the increased crime against women in the state is being denied. In the year 2020, according to the data given by the NCRB in Uttar Pradesh, one rape incident is reported every two hours, while rape against children is reported every 90 minutes.
