On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the Australian squad would visit Pakistan in March-April next year to play three Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and a Twenty20 International. Australia is preparing to return to Pakistan after a 24-year hiatus, having last visited the nation in 1998.

In a statement, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja remarked, “It pleases me no end that we’ll be involved in a three-Test match series, connoisseurs’ pleasure.” “Australia is one of the best teams in the world, and seeing them play in our backyard for the first time in 24 years will be a great pleasure for the fans.” “The fans of the game are super excited and the Pakistani team will get the much-needed opportunity to play with International stars.”
The first Test match will occur in Karachi on March 3, the second in Rawalpindi on March 12, and the third in Lahore on March 21. Lahore will host all three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) on March 29, 31, and April 2.

On April 5, the lone Twenty20 International would take place at Lahore. A Cricket Australian group will go to Pakistan ahead of the series to meet with PCB officials, as well as provincial and federal officials, to discuss and finalise team operations, logistics, security, and Covid-19 guidelines.
