Poonawala has already said that there is already a lot of pressure on the current production capacity of Covishield . Poonawala said that the world needs vaccines and we are prioritizing India’s needs, but we are still facing a supply crisis. The Center said last week that there is no complete restriction on vaccine exports. . Poonawala said that the serum is preparing 6 to 6.5 crore vaccines every month. Till date, 10 crore Covishield vaccines have been exported to the Central Government and 6 crore vaccines have been exported.
At the same time, Covishield vaccine manufacturer Serum needs about 3000 crores to increase its production. Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawala gave this information.
