Lucknow: The main accused shooter Girdhari Vishwakarma who was involved in the Ajit Singh murder case was killed by the Lucknow police in an encounter. The encounter took place in the ‘Vikas Dubey’ style of Vibhuti Khand in Lucknow. According to the information, Girdhari surrendered in Delhi and was killed on Monday morning while trying to escape from the custody of the police.
Girdhari surrendered in Delhi and now he has an encounter in ‘Vikas Dubey’ style. After the surrender in Delhi, the police brought Girdhari to Lucknow. Gurdhari was on remand for police custody from February 13 to 16 after permission from the court.
On Sunday night, police took Girdhari to Vibhuti Khand for the recovery of weapons used in the murder of Ajit Singh. According to the police, during this time, Girdhari tried to escape while getting off the car. He snatched the pistol of Sub Inspector Akhtar Usmani and started running. The police then chased him and asked him to surrender. Seeing himself surrounded, Girdhari started firing, during which he was injured in retaliation from the police. After being shot, Girdhari was rushed to the nearby Lohia Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
