The AIADMK filed a complaint with the Mambalam police station here, requesting that the expelled V K Sasikala, a confidante of late former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, be investigated for pretending to be the party’s general secretary. D Jayakumar, the party’s organizing secretary, filed a complaint with the police, requesting that they bring Sasikala and her henchmen to justice, prevent additional crimes committed by her and her men, and render justice.

He stated that following her release from jail, Sasikala began masquerading as a member and leader of the AIADMK, which led to the unification of the party under the leadership of O Panneerselvam and K Palaniswami and the expulsion of Sasikala. He said that Sasikala, who is not even a member of the AIADMK, began using the party’s flag without authorization to confuse the people. According to the petition, a copy of which was made available to the media here.
The AIADMK had filed a complaint with the Director-General of Police at the time, alleging that such deceit is being used to fool the general public and give the impression that she is a member of the AIADMK when, in fact, she has no ties to the party.

According to Jayakumar, Sasikala and her minions went to Dr. M.G. Ramachandran’s memorial building on October 17 and pretended to be the AIADMK’s general secretary. She also unveiled a memorial plaque on which she is referred to as the party’s general secretary. “She has acted in such a way as to incite the people to commit an offence against public tranquilly,” he added.
