According to AAP state president Sabhajeet Singh, the yatras would begin immediately following the AAP national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s speech at a massive rally on January 2 in Lucknow. The party’s campaign for the 2022 Assembly elections will formally begin with this gathering.

Singh went on to say that the yatra is intended to raise awareness of the AAP’s obligations to the people of Uttar Pradesh, and that other prominent party members from Delhi will participate. So far, the party has made two electoral promises: free electricity and the forgiveness of unpaid power bills, and ten lakh employment each year.
