960 Foreign Tablighi Jamaatis black listed, can’t enter India for 10 years now

New Delhi: The Indian government has banned the arrival of 960 foreigners associated with the Tabligi Jamaat. The Narendra Modi government has banned all these associated with the Jamaat for 10 years.

The Central Government has taken major action against 2200 foreigners who belong to Tabligi Jamaat. All the above foreigners have been blacklisted. This action has been taken on them for breaking the provisions of Foreign Law 1946 (Foreigners Act 1946) and Disaster Management Act 2005 (Disaster Management Act 2005). A statement issued by the Union Home Ministry stated that 960 foreigners have been blacklisted due to their involvement in tablighi activities on tourist visas. All these days Indian visas were also canceled.

These 960 foreign nationals were blacklisted by the Union Home Ministry on April 2 this year for their alleged role in the Tablighi Jamaat activities in the country.

Apart from blacklisting, the MHA had also cancelled their visas after finding they were involved in Tablighi Jamaat activities violating their visa conditions.

Moreover, the Home Minister’s Office had asked Delhi Police and police chiefs of other states, where these foreigners were living, to take legal action under the Foreigners Act and the Disaster Management Act.
