Delhi-Meerut Expressway is now opened for public
Nitin Gadkari said, we have fulfilled our promise

Meerut. A few years ago, if someone told us that we would reach Delhi from Meerut in 45 minutes, then we would have thought it a joke. But this dream has come true today and we can reach Delhi in just 45 minutes. The long-awaited Delhi-Meerut Expressway has been opened to the general public. After the opening of this expressway, the journey of two and a half hours from Meerut to Delhi can now be completed in just 45 minutes. Now people going to Meerut to Delhi or coming to Meerut from Delhi will not have to face the jammed routes like Modinagar, Muradnagar. On Thursday, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari tweeted, saying, Delhi Meerut Expressway is now complete and has been opened for traffic. We have fulfilled our promise to reduce travel time between Delhi and Meerut from 2.5 hours to 45 minutes.

On the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, the cars will run at a speed of 100 km. Other vehicles are allowed to travel at a speed of 80 km per hour. Currently, on expressways vehicles will not have to pay tolls. The construction on the toll plaza has not been completed yet. After five to seven days, tolls will be charged from vehicles.

Apart from the people of Delhi and Meerut, this expressway will also be beneficial for many city dwellers of UP and Uttarakhand. His journey to Delhi will be convenient and will be fixed in a short time.
