11 opposition parties supported farmers’ Bharat Bandh

New Delhi: Farmers are adamant on ‘Bharat Bandh’ on 8 December regarding agricultural laws. Different political parties that have come out in support of him have announced to support this bandh of farmers. All opposition parties of the country including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party have supported the bandh. The bandh is also supported by 11 political parties and several central trade unions. Players and ex-servicemen have also spoken of supporting. At the same time, farmers have said that the chakka jam will remain till 3 in the evening during the bandh. Milk-fruit-vegetables will be banned. There will be no restriction on weddings and emergency services.

The Congress has announced that it will support the Bharat Bandh on 8 December. Party spokesperson Pawan Kheda called it a step to strengthen Rahul Gandhi’s support to farmers. The Left parties also issued a joint statement openly supporting the Bharat Bandh. Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Rashtriya Lok Dal have also decided to support the national prisoners.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar will meet President Ram Nath Kovind on December 9 to discuss the issue of farmers. Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has also announced support for the bandh. Kejriwal appealed in a tweet to ‘all the countrymen that everybody should support the farmers and participate in it’. In support of farmers, Akhilesh Yadav has announced that SP Kisan Yatra will be taken out in every district of Uttar Pradesh.
