10 killed in Bhiwandi building collapse in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A 3-storey building collapsed in the Patel Compound area near Dhamankar Naka in Bhiwandi adjoining Mumbai on Monday morning, during which 10 people have died and 20-25 people are feared trapped.

The accident occurred at around 3.40 am. Local residents and fire brigade are involved in relief work. NDRF has also reached the spot. According to the information, 20 people have been evacuated from the rubble of this building called Jilani.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), fire brigade and police teams are involved in relief work. NDRF chief Satya Pradhan tweeted that at least 20 people are feared trapped. It is said that about 20 families lived in this building. The building is said to be 40 years old.
