Honestly speaking, I have got the annual subscription to ZEE5 and Disney+ Hotstar recently and I am really enjoying the various shows of different genres that are premiered on the OTT platforms. Not only that, but you also get access to old television serials that you might have missed to watch earlier but now can watch at your time convenience.
Disney+ Hotstar forays into Telugu with series ‘Unheard’
We no longer live in the times when the clock shows a particular time and we all run towards the television set, sit for hours to watch our favorite shows and movies. We live in the digital era where everything is available at our fingertips and all we need is actually the TIME to watch so much of the content that is available on the OTT platforms.
Hina Khan doesn’t have television plans
Television viewers are slowly being replaced by the OTT generation because of the time and place convenience that it offers. Like you no more have to get up from your seat if any uncomfortable scene comes in your movie or show because you are an alone viewer on OTT. You don’t have to feel shy or ashamed to watch horror, crime, thriller, romance and every person of the house gets their own share of entertainment dose in their smartphone or tablet or laptop that was difficult to get earlier.
So, I grew up at times, when my dad always used to switch on the TV, keep Malayalam movies and Tamil serials at a particular time of the day and he only used to off the TV. Never were we as kids asked our preference to watch anything on television as our duty was to only focus our attention on studies and play with our siblings on weekends or holidays.
So, for me, being the owner of what I watch on my OTT platform is like a cool idea. I also feel privileged to control what I watch and skip what I don’t like. For example, I really don’t like the scenes where there is so much drama, physical and emotional violence, snake and spirit scenes, etc. So, I can feel happy to watch any serial or movie of my choice by skipping all that I want and whenever I get time from my work commitments. Indeed, OTT has become a boon for a viewer like me.
