Producer Xavier Britto whose upcoming film Master with superstar Vijay shared that he has no plans to release the film on any OTT platform.
Britto said that he only wants the film Master to release in theatres, either in Diwali 2020 or in Pongal 2021.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, many filmmakers of all industries are moving to OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+Hotstar to release their movies as the cinema halls are shut as per the government guidelines.
Earlier, it was reported that Vijay’s film Master was offered over Rs. 100 crore by an OTT platform for an exclusive release. However, that didn’t take place.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film Master will see people’s favorite Vijay in the role of a college professor.
The movie will also have another Vijay aka Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role. Malavika Mohanan will play the female lead whereas, Andrea Jeremiah will be seen in an important role.
Vijay’s last film Bigil was a super-success, wherein he played the dual roles of a father and son.
