SP Balasubrahmanyam put to rest with state honours

Indian renowned singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who passed away on Friday, has been put to rest with state honours in his Chennai farmhouse.

He received a 24-gun salute from Tamil Nadu police. SP Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalized for more than a month due to COVID-19 related complications.

S P Charan, the singer’s son completed his final rites and then buried his body into a deep pit.

Cardio-respiratory arrest led to the end of SPB’s life at 1.04 PM on 25 September 2020.

SPB’s body was kept at his farmhouse so that common public can pay their last respects to the legendary singer.

The singer is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
