The multi-starrer film featuring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandana, and Sekhar Kammula was launched on Thursday with a puja ceremony. Sekhar Kammula, the National Award-winning director, debuted his upcoming movie in Hyderabad on Thursday with a puja ceremony. In the untitled, multi- starrer, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Dhanush will all share the screen. For a long time being, the project has been dubbed #DNS (after the first names of the director and male leads). Wednesday saw the continuation of filming for the project, despite the producer’s continued silence about it. On his first day, Dhanush filmed a few key scenes and the film crew has a schedule for this month.

The film is presented by Sonali Narang and was directed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sree Venkateshwara Cinema. Along with the producers, Dhanush and Sekhar attended the pooja ceremony. The project has hired Niketh Bommi as its cinematographer. The remaining actors and crew have not yet been revealed by the producers. There will be Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi releases for the movie. Expectations are high for this movie because Sekhar directed the hugely successful Fidaa and Love Story before. For Sankranthi, Dhanush’s Captain Miller has been released in Tamil on January 12 and will debut in Telugu on January 25.

With his 50th project, which is currently in production, the actor is also returning to writing and directing. Nithya Menen, SJ Suryahm Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayram, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and other will also play significant roles in #D50. When Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga was released on January 14, it was well-received. The actor has not yet disclosed any upcoming endeavors. Buzz is that he has not yet finalized the scripts, but is listening to them right now. In addition to playing Srivalli again for Sukumar’s Pushpa the Rule, Rashmika, who was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, will soon be seen in Rainbow, The Girlfriend in Telugu and Chaava in Hindi.

With each of his films, Dhanush never fails to surprise you, not only with his acting but also with the stories he chooses to tell. In the director’s third picture, Captain Miller, the Tamil actor teams up with Arun Maheswaran. The film is set in British-ruled pre-independence India, and it opens with Analeesan, also known as Issa, the mother of Dhanush’s Captain Miller, telling the tale of their 600-year-old local Shiva temple, where Ayyar Koranar’s statue was buried in secret. She described how the local tribes from entering due to social prejudice and caste.
