There were reports released on Friday that the makers are pushing the release date of Salaar as the post-production work of the film is yet to be completed properly. Taran had also written on X on Friday, “Those asking, yes, #Salaar is postponed. #Prabhas.”

Directed by Prashanth Neel who is known for directing the KGF series, Salaar movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. The film is said to be made on a budget of Rs. 200 crore and 14 sets were built for the film’s shooting at Ramoji City in Hyderabad. The film will be released in five languages such as Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.

In the trailer of the film, Prabhas is introduced as the king of the jungle. Glances of Prithviraj was also seen in the film. However, Shruti was not seen in the teaser. As Salaar’s date is pushed to a later date, other films have preponed their release dates. Fukrey 3, featuring Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Pankaj Tripathi, and Manjot Singh, will directly be released in theatres on September 28, which was before reserved for Salaar. Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao will now be released on September 29.

Prabhas’ previous film Adipurush was a big-time flop because of the poor visual effects and slow narration. The film was made on a huge budget but it didn’t live up to people’s expectations. Apart from Salaar, Prabhas will be next working on Kalki 2898 AD, Spirit, and Raja Deluxe. Touted to be one of the most successful and highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, Prabhas has a fanbase all over India.

Prabhas is the first South Indian actor to have a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. He is known widely for supporting various social causes. He is referred to as Darling Star and one of the most humble and down-to-earth Indian actors. The Baahubali film series i.e. Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion are the two movies that made Prabhas get such a huge pan-India appeal. He has received an important fanbase in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
