Senior Kannada filmmaker Nagesh Babu passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Bengaluru.
The veteran actor was 82 years old and died due to age-related sickness.
Nagesh Babu has a wife Shyamala and three children.
Born in Mandya, Nagesh Babu completed his graduation in science stream before coming to the film industry.
His passion for cinema and creating films made him venture into direct movies.
He started his career working as an assistant director for the movie Premada Puthri in 1957.
After working as an assistant director in many movies, he took the charge and made his directorial debut with the film titled Anireekshitha.
He later started Pragathi Studio in Bengaluru which is widely recognized for doing still photography for over 350 films.
