Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar serial features Swati Rajput as Dia and Ankit Siwach as Armaan in lead roles. It can also be seen on Disney+ Hotstar. The serial starts with Dia Mathur who hails from a middle-class family. With a retired father and housewife mother at home, Dia is the eldest among the 3 sisters of the Mathur family. Dia’s sister who is younger than her has got married and is pregnant while Dia’s youngest sister Palkhi gets chosen by Armaan’s family for a possible match instead of Dia.

Armaan is shown to be a strong character who considers values over looks and bank balance. Being a divorcee himself, he is looking for a life partner who supports him and understands his liking and dislikes. He is not attracted by figure, size, and looks but is encouraged by a person’s nature as his true character. In the initial meetings, he starts liking Dia and even feels good to understand more about her attitude and thinking in life. However, due to his sister’s adamant nature of getting Palkhi as her sister-in-law, he gets diverted from knowing Dia well.
Dia has always faced rejections in life, right from her college days. She is always mocked or teased by people for her dark looks and after facing so many rejections in life, she has made up her mind to not get married and live her life the way she enjoys. However, she gets a liking for Armaan which again gets disturbed due to some misunderstandings that were created by Armaan’s sister.
Dia decides to celebrate the Holi festival by preparing gujiyas, sweets, and staying at home, watching movies. However, Palkhi and her mother want that Dia should come out of the home and enjoy colors. Palkhi who had earlier misunderstood Armaan for rejecting Dia as a suitable bride has now developed feelings for him as she saw his human side when her sister met with a small accident. In the upcoming episodes, it will be noticed how Palkhi, Armaan, and Dia will come together to celebrate Holi and also share their feelings for each other.
Overall, the serial has started on a good note by showing how middle-class families discuss in detail before even taking a small decision. It has hit the right notes among the audiences who really are seeking justice in the society for their dark complexion, fat weight, health issues, etc. Let’s see how the story evolves further without many twists and turns. It will be interesting to note when Armaan shares honestly about what he thinks for Dia in front of Palkhi and Dia as well.
