India Bids Adieu to the oldest Stand-up Comedian Raju Srivastava

He passed away after a month fighting for life at a Delhi hospital

Fans moan the death of the much famed stand up comedian, Raju Srivastava, who suffered a heart attack a month ago while he was working out at the gym. His family confirmed the news that Raju passed away today after a long fight and was on ventilator for a few days. The treatment was being done at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi where Raju’s family members - his wife, son and daughter were there to take care of him.

According to the reports, Raju suffered severe brain damage after the cardiac arrest, and remained unconscious and was under observation at AIIMS under the supervision of senior doctors in Delhi since August 10. The government was in touch with the family and PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath had personally spoken to the comedian's wife, Shikha Srivastava, and extended full support for treatment.

Raju was in absolutely good health and was working out on the treadmill when he experienced sudden chest pain and collapsed at the gym. He was immediately brought to AIIMS  hospital Delhi by his personal trainer at the gym.

His condition went critical after the immense brain damage and was put on ventilator support. He was being treated at the AIIMS hospital, under the supervision of specialized doctors of the Cardiology and Emergency Department. According to  AIIMS sources, the comedian was given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart.

Raju’s family confirmed the news today and shared , "Raju Srivastava had a heart attack while working out at the gym. He visited Delhi to meet some of the big leaders of the state.
