Bollywood and Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh has come out in the support of farmers who are against the three agriculture sector Bills that have been passed by Lok Sabha.
Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill are the three bills passed by Lok Sabha recently.
The bills were passed to make sure farmers get a better price but farm groups and opposition parties are not in support of it.
Diljit wrote in a tweet, “Kisaan Bachao, Desh Bachao. Kisaan Virodhi Bill Da Asi Sarey Virod Karde Haan (Save farmers, save the country. We all oppose the anti-farmer Bills).”
As Diljit belonged to a farmer’s family, he said he understood the problems and challenges faced by farmers in Punjab.
