Pavitra Rishta was one of the longest-running television shows on Zee TV.
The serial was so much in demand that it is being currently re-run on the channel in the afternoon timing slot.
Producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor was appreciated for introducing the late Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav and actress Ankita Lokhande as Archana / Ankita in the show.
The serial helped Sushant get a good experience in acting and make a career in Bollywood films. His journey from television to films is truly inspirational for many aspiring stars who dream big in life.
Now as per a report, Ankita has approached Ekta for a second season of Pavitra Rishta to mark it as a tribute to the late actor Sushant.
As the serial was very close to Sushant’s heart, both Ankita and Ekta feel that the new season of the show will be the best way to remember Sushant and his contribution to the television industry. It will also make his fans happy.
The report also said that Ekta liked the idea of the second part of the show and plans to sit with writers to explore the way forward.
Sushant’s death by suicide has made many talented actors and actresses stressed about their future in the television and film industry.
Ankita was Sushant’s first love and they were together for many years before they broke up in 2016.
Ankita who was quite successful in television, made her mark in Bollywood by acting in films like Manikarnika and Baaghi 3.
