When it comes to emotions, we always need validation, which means we want to stay confirmed whether what we are thinking or going through is correct or true. For example, if a boy loves a girl, he needs constant validation from the girl as well if she loves him or not. If she loves him, then how much and to what extent, can the girl go to fulfill the boy’s desires and wishes?
Had to switch off my emotions for this one match: Sindhu
Emotional validation is quite tricky at times because emotions are never stagnant and they keep on changing as per the situations and people as well. For example, if your mother asks you to clean your desk, you will reply angrily telling her to not nag you and bother you. If the same command is given by your boss at the workplace, you will smilingly say yes and do the needed work. So, the situation of the unclean desk is the same but the area and people are different, which makes different emotions come out.

Same way, if you ask for a lakh rupees from your parents for buying a technology product just for fun, you won’t get anything but if you tell them you want to study for a course to upskill your career, they will immediately be willing to know the procedure. So, situations matter a lot when it comes to emotional validation and people too.
Thus, you need to work on your self-esteem well so that when situations and people change, you don’t feel the pinch. If you are highly emotional and quite dependent on others for fulfilling your emotional and life needs, you will get stuck up when either people or situations change in your life. This will make you feel very low and thus, inviting mental worries and emotional troubles that would take time to heal.
Work on your emotions of both positive and negative energies so that you can know to find a balance in both good and bad times. If you are courageous and patient as well, you will not feel depressed and instead work on yourself to fulfill your needs and wants.
