West Bengal education minister suggests change in UGC-NET exams

Partha Chatterjee, education minister of West Bengal has suggested the National Testing Agency to make changes in the dates of UGC-NET exams as it will clash with the festival of Durga Puja.

Partha said in a media interaction that organizing the exams during the main festival of Durga Puja is not a good idea as it will hurt people’s emotions.

Since Durga Puja is the largest religious festival of Bengal, the education officials have written to the NTA to make changes in the exam schedule.

The Durga Puja festival starts on 22 October 2020 and some exams of UGC-NET such as Geography, Education and Bengali are scheduled betwen 21 and 23 October 2020.
