New Delhi: The Modi government has decided to increase the validity period of Teacher Eligibility Test Qualification Certificate from 7 years to lifelong. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that this will be a positive step in the direction of increasing employment opportunities for the candidates who want to make a career in the teaching field. According to the statement of the Ministry of Education, this decision has been implemented since 10 years ago. That is, after 2011, whose certificates have been completed, they will also be eligible for teacher recruitment examinations.

The Education Minister said that the Union Territories and the respective State Governments will take necessary action to issue fresh TET certificates to those candidates whose period of 7 years has already expired. Explain that, Teacher Eligibility Test is one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in schools.
