UP Board Class 11 students to not study Business Ethics

Class 11 students of schools affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh education board will not be having the subject of Business Ethics this year.

It means class 11 students of commerce stream will not understand what are the social responsibilities of a business or company apart from making profits.

The UP Board had adopted a syllabus based on the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for Class 11 commerce students in September this year.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the board had to cut down on the syllabus for the academic year 2020-21.

Thus, under the 30% syllabus reduction, social responsibilities of businesses and business ethics, role of businesses in environment protection, have not been a part of the business studies paper. But this is applicable only for this year’s students.
