Working in an organization with a challenging boss is never going to be easy. If your boss is someone who wants to constantly get updates about what you are up to whether you are working at his office or from home, then your situation is getting literally worse. Some bosses like to monitor closely each and everything their subordinates do. They don’t trust their subordinates and keep asking each and everything to be done as per their way.

If you are finding it tough to handle your narcissistic personality type boss, no worries as here we have some tips to make things cooler for you.
1) Take it easy:
When we say to take it easy, it means don’t take things personally. Your boss may talk rubbish or irrelevant at times. He or she may also go to an extreme extent to prove how incompetent you are for the role or job you are doing. He may use comparisons and criticism methods to get work done from you in his way. But don’t give up. You can learn to ignore things that are being said about you in a negative way.

2) Just live each day:
If you are thinking it is too much for you to handle your boss as he has been accusing or blaming you for all the wrong that is happening with him, then don’t think about the future. Just live in the present moment and let go of all the extreme thoughts that your boss is trying to feed your mind. You can simply think that you are dealing with a patient who cannot see anything good in you and keep doing your work as it comes.
3) If you don’t have another job in hand:
In case you are thinking of quitting as you cannot tolerate this wrong behavior of your boss, then don’t resign till you have another job in hand. In case you don’t get good offers, then stay back in the same organization. Your work and the salary, recognition, and fame that come with it are more important to you than your boss’s insults and nasty comments. So, just don’t take him seriously and keep moving ahead.
4) Focus on your evolution:
For example, if your boss has been commenting to you about how slow you are at typing emails or speaking on the phone, or doing a particular task, instead of taking his negative comments to your heart, decide to upskill yourself. You can concentrate all your energies on developing your skills and abilities so that you can perform well and be a better version of yourself.
5) Ask him to stop:
If you have been getting insulting emails and demeaning behavior from your boss in the office, you can calmly ask him to stop his acts against you. You can find out what triggers him to speak so badly about you and patch up with him so that you both can contribute your best at work and other aspects of your lives.
