A spokesperson from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur stated the institute is analysing the COVID-19 scenario before making a judgement on the GATE 2022 exam. The exam’s organising institute, IIT Kharagpur, has already postponed the issue of the admission card twice, causing hopefuls to wonder if the exam will be rescheduled.

The test is set to take place from February 5 to 13, 2022, according to the official schedule. The admit card was supposed to be released on the 3rd of January, however it was postponed until the 7th.
IIT Kharagpur declared on January 7 that “the date for downloading GATE 2022 admit cards would be released shortly.” The new date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, GATE 2022 hopefuls are expressing their dissatisfaction with the delay on social media, claiming that it has caused them confusion and anxiety.

They urged that if the exam is postponed, the institute should notify students as soon as possible, and that if the exam is held on time, admit cards should be distributed.
