
New Delhi: Solar energy sector company Oakridge Energy on Tuesday said it has entered into agreements with Delhi government and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to spark schools in Delhi with solar energy. The company said in a statement that it has set a target of equipping 1,000 institutions with solar energy by 2022.
He said, “Oakridge Energy has tied up with the Kendriya Vidyalaya and Delhi government for schools equipped with solar energy in Delhi.” The company further said that it has recently arranged solar power in 15 schools of the Department of Education in Delhi. Along with this, he has also started a 217 kW solar power project at Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. The company said that the installation of solar power plants in educational institutions will not only enable them to be independent, but will also save substantial in electricity bills.
