New Delhi: The result of the engineering entrance ‘JEE Main 2020’ has been released. According to the declared entrance examination results, 24 students have topped the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) this year. 24 students got 100 percentile. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results late on Friday night.
Among those who topped the exam, a total of eight students are from Telangana, 5 from Delhi, 4 from Rajasthan, 3 from Andhra Pradesh, 2 from Haryana, and one each from Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The NTA has announced the results of the entrance exams that were conducted between September 1 and September 6 for the B. Tech programs offered by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and other technical institutes. The results of the entrance exam conducted for B Arch programs by centrally funded technical institutes will be announced later this month.
8.58 lakh students had registered for the entrance examination. However, only 6.35 lakh students, 74%, appeared for the examination. The NTA conducted the examination during the pandemic amid growing demand for covid-19 cases to demand its adjournment.
