New Delhi: IIT-JEE Advanced Examination will be held on July 3, 2021, this time this exam will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur. The announcement was made by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal at a press conference organized through virtual medium on Thursday.
In view of the status of covid-19, this time also the relaxation has been given in the prescribed eligibility criteria for 75% marks in class 12 for the JEE Advanced Examination. The Union Minister said that, “This is a very important exam, keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the eligibility criteria of 75 percent has also been removed this time.”
Education Minister Pokhriyal said, “In view of the new education policy, the JEE (Mains) 2021 exam will be conducted in 13 languages. Which includes Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Urdu. The examination to be conducted in computer based test mode, B.Arch will be in offline mode. ”
The Education Minister further said, “The National Testing Agency has decided that there will be 90 questions, candidates will have to solve any 75 of them. In the remaining 15 optional questions, negative marking will also not be done. The merit list / ranking will be prepared based on the candidate’s best score. “
